We Sponsor Museum Passes

The Friends sponsor passes to area museums and attractions.

Save money while visiting The Children's Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, The Museum of Science, and many other destinations thanks to the Friends!

In 2015, the Friends purchased passes to the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester and the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH.

If you live outside of Andover, you can use the passes when you join the Friends!

In 2016, the museum passes were used 2,687 times! The most popular passes are the MFA, Museum of Science and the NE Aquarium.

We Fund Visits by National and Regional Authors

One of the most popular authors, who returns periodically, is Ted Reinstein, WCVB's Chronicle reporter. His last visit, in November 2016, was to talk about his latest book, Wicked Pissed.  It contains fascinating stories, some known, others not so much, from the history of New England, and brings to life many of the fights, spats, and arguments that have, in many ways, shaped the area.  Reinstein's work demonstrates what it really means to be Wicked Pissed.

He returns on October 4, 2018 at 7:00pm to talk about his new book about New England General Stores.
