About the Wall of Honor

We often wish for a tangible way to show a permanent and public appreciation for those who have meant a great deal to the community, but who might have received little public recognition for their efforts.  With that thought in mind, the Friends have recently introduced a way to recognize those among the living as well as those who are no longer living, but who have given to the life of the Andover family and/or to the mission of the library.  Accordingly, we are offering a virtual bookplate to honor such individuals.  Each bookplate will be posted on the Friends page with a photo of the honoree and a signed tribute.  Bookplates will remain on the website, cycling through with others on the Wall, so it will always be possible to see photos and read the forever tributes.  Those wishing to show their love and respect in such a way are invited to send a photo and written tribute of up to 150 words to info@friendsofMHL.com. After your forever tribute is posted, we will send you by mail a tasteful paper copy of your photo and tribute.
